Notice where the time goes: more than half the day is preparation, not spraying. That ratio is the entire difference between a liner that’s still perfect in year ten and one that starts lifting at the edges in year two.
Before You Arrive: A 5-Minute Checklist
- Empty the bed completely — including under-rail storage and tie-down accessories.
- Note anything you want covered or left uncovered (bed rails, tailgate top, stake pockets) so we can quote and mask it precisely.
- If the truck has an old liner or coating, tell us when booking — removal changes the timeline and we’ll schedule accordingly.
- Plan your day: waiting on-site works for estimates, but install day is a drop-off job. Most Fremont customers grab a rideshare to work or pair the errand with a WFH day.
What If We Find Something?
The 8 am walkaround exists so problems surface before spraying, not after. Light scratches disappear under the coating. Surface rust gets ground out and treated — it’s routine, and we quote it on the spot. A failed DIY coating or old drop-in liner gets removed first. Nothing gets sprayed over a problem: coating over rust just gift-wraps it.
The First 30 Days
Drive home normally — the coating is set by pickup. Give it 24 hours before hauling anything, and a few days before dragging heavy or sharp loads across the floor. After that, treat it like the work surface it is: rinse out grit occasionally, wash with soap and water when you wash the truck, and that’s the entire maintenance program. The manufacturer-backed warranty paperwork comes home with you at pickup.

One drop-off can cover more than the bed. Popular same-visit add-ons: a tonneau cover over the fresh liner, a trailer hitch, running boards or ceramic window tint for the 880 commute. Mention add-ons when you book so we build the day around them.

Is it really done in one day?
Almost always: morning drop-off, evening pickup. The exceptions are beds needing rust repair or old liner removal — we flag that at booking or at the walkaround, before work starts.
Can I wait at the shop during the install?
For a quote or a quick add-on, sure. For a full liner install it’s a drop-off job — between prep, spray and cure there’s nothing to watch but masking tape. We’ll call when it’s ready.
Does weather affect the install?
Not for you — application and curing happen indoors in controlled conditions. Rain on install day changes nothing.

A walkaround of the finished bed with the installer, care guidance for the first month, and your warranty documentation. If anything looks off to you, that’s the moment we fix it — though the QC step exists so it doesn’t get that far.
